We love a family wedding where almost the entire day takes place at the family home. This particular time it was at Gabrielle’s family home in the countryside. A really beautiful house where Gabrielle grew up long with a picturesque English field that they own, with paths freshly mown and a miniature bridge built by her father; which allowed them a more direct route to their local church where they would be wed.
The local church was intimate and beautiful, a romantic setting for their vows. That was, until the speeches, whereby a groomsman with lipstick in a kilt sang a raucous song, a first in our books for a wedding ceremony and by the priests face, hers too.
The family had erected a very large marquee in their field, decorated with various skiing paraphernalia as their whole family are ski aficionados. Adam’s family is from Scotland and whiskey was very present during the speeches, which meant everyone was in very high spirits for the dancing and to top it off, Gabrielle’s father had surprise fireworks to bring the celebrations to an excellent finale.
I’ve published a large amount of photos as this is the last one for 2014!
